WD TV Live is meant for the power user.Its key feature that puts it a step further than its predecessors is the addition of an Ethernet port that now lets you connect your WD TV Live to your home network and stream files from your pc.

With that in mind WD TV Live is the complete media streamer solution from WesternDigital.You can view your pictures ,videos and music from your USB sources , external HDD ,digital cameras , camcorders and your Home PC.

It can also connect to your network using WiFi through the use of an optional wireless adapter.

WD TV Live supports a wide variety of file formats and also the use of online services like YouTube ,Flickr and thousands of radio stations via Live365.

Two USB drives can be accessed simultaneously merging them into one list sorted by media type.

very good unit for DVD type format rips (divx, xvid etc) but inconsistent with HD does not do well with some mkv or mp4 files although it has no problem playing HD it is the encoding formats it supports that let it down.

This is actually a very popular unit, be sure to get the current model as it has better looking menus. There really are quite a few really good media players.
